Hello! My name is mai.space and this is my super duper awesome website! I started this site using Zonelets in the summer of 2024 as one of my many side quests, although I gave it very sporadic updates and forgot it existed...oops. However, over the past few years, I started to become very exhausted with using social media. I felt that I had fallen victim to doomscrolling and that I didn't actually have a place to share things about myself or my interests out of fear for being percieved as "cringe" or "doing too much." I also felt (and still feel) that social media as a whole is incredibly superficial and that the person running an account is often completely different from what a viewer may percieve. That's why I decided to revive Blue Void in the spring of 2026. Despite my minimal coding skills, I love creating things and I really wanted a place to share my thoughts without the social expectations of my real-life mutuals. I share my blog posts with a handful of close friends, but aside from that, Blue Void is my secret passion project. It is a perpetual work in progress.
When I'm not working on this website, I enjoy reading, baking, listening to/making music (I'm a cellist!), playing video games, exploring my local parks, upcycling clothing, and many other creative pursuits! I am also a full-time student. You can look at some of my specific favorites (in no particular order) below.
