Flight

One day, I yearn to take flight.
Like a bird in the dead of night
It’s a quiet leave,
Not a scene from a movie
But I’ll be unconstrained from responsibility,
No road to follow, only limitless sky - free.
I’ll find my own routine and build a nest of my own,
I’ve always interpreted this as a milestone
To be self-sufficient, to have my own way,
I’m preparing for this day
